CF Drew 1This year's Christmas Fayre at the top of Queens Road took place on Friday 4th December. Invited to open this year's Fayre was Barbara Blossom, former Chairman of both Parish Council and Resident's Society, pictured right with Aniket Patel, current Chairman of the Parish Council (though you might not recognise him!).

Over 1000 visitors attended this years event, encouraged by the exceptionally warm weather. The focus this year was more on children's activities. Attractions included Father Christmas, a Roundabout, Pony Rides, Puppet Show, Chess Challenge, Lucky Dip, a Stilt Man, Hoopla, Hook-a-Duck, Face-Painting, and various stalls.

Throughout the afternon there was music and carols.

The Parish Council and the Residents' Society, with support from the Buckhurst Hill Village Forum, work very hard each year to stage this event. We would like to thank all the volunteers who gave their time to organize the event, or to help on the day. We are also grateful to the many Traders on Queens Road who hosted attractions, held special events, or donated prizes.

Over £1300 was raised towards the Parish Council Chairman's chosen Charity, the Alzheimer's Society.
