This year BHRS will be again assisting pupils from St John's Primary School with a Market Project to learn about economics and the history of Queen's Road. Pupils from year 4 will be interviewing businesses on Queen's Road and on June 21st setting up market stalls outside those shops to sell items they have designed and made themselves, inspired by the shop's own products. The pupils will be assisted by volunteers from staff, parents, and BHRS (led by Margaret Drew). Last year the stalls raised £900, generously donated to Charity. Last week they walked down Queen's Road in preparation, and one girl's report has been posted on the school website (including a slideshow of 9 photographs).
